Support Your Local Police K9

Senior Officer Justin Hoyt and the St. Johnsbury Police Department are pleased to announce the addition of a K-9 unit to the police force.  Officer Hoyt has acquired a German Shepherd Dog (GSD) from a breeder in Springfield, Vermont for the purpose of becoming a patrol and narcotics certified police K-9.  The GSD, named “Scout” is living with Officer Hoyt and his family as he grows up. Scout has begun training in basic obedience and shows great promise toward becoming a quality police K-9.
The Police department continues in its efforts to fundraise and acquire donations for the program, the fundraising effort is going very well and we believe that we will be able to finance the program with minimal impact on the police budget.
If you would like to make a donation to our program, please contact Officer Hoyt at the police department at 802-748-2314.   >> Learn more.
